NC DMV Road Test

To schedule your DMV Road Test, students must meet all of the following criteria:

• Hold a valid NC Level 1 Limited Learner Permit

• Be at least 16 years old

• Have held the Level 1 permit for at least 9 months

• Test date must be on or after the eligibility date printed on the back of the permit

• Have completed all required supervised driving hours

• Be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is the supervising driver

• Meet DMV eligibility requirements under G.S. 20-11 and G.S. 20-13.2

📅 Scheduling Information:

• All tests must be registered and PAID for online (All Appointments will be issued at least 24 hours in advance, no same appointment can be made)

• Walk-in appointments will not be accepted

🚘 Important Vehicle Policy:

For insurance and liability purposes, all road tests will be administered using Maintain Your Lane Driving School company vehicles. Personal vehicles are not permitted for use during the test.

• Cancellations will incur a $25 fee.
